Home appreciation rates by zip code

Florida markets dominate the fastest appreciating ZIP codes as winter settles in.

But most ZIP codes in the US with sufficient data to measure have been appreciating for some time: over 80% of markets each month for 14 months straight! The rate of appreciation nationally for price per square foot remains higher than the year before, though early signs it may be slowing at last. Will appreciation rates plateau or return rocket once more as seasonal real estate markets heat up again?

A massive fourteen of the top twenty fastest appreciating ZIP codes are located in FL, the most appearing in a single state at least 18 months time. The top three spots, however, are all in Tennessee, with #1 and #3 in Sevierville.
