Frequently Asked Questions

Estated is continuously checking for and receiving data from its sources. Typically, counties publish data on different frequencies, anywhere from a couple days to annually. Once an update happens, the latest data will be found in the Estated database within just a few days to allow for data processing.

Estated has data for nearly every property in the United States. The total number of properties in the Estated database is over 140 million.

All data provided by Estated comes from public records, legal offices, and other verified sources. The data provided will be as accurate as the original documents used for legal purposes.

The pay as you go plan will bill for any usage during a billing period every 30 days starting 30 days after you sign up. Subscription plans are billed the day you sign up and every 30 days thereafter, with any overage accrued during a billing period added to the subsequent invoice.

The Starter and Professional plans listed above may be cancelled at any time without penalty. You only have to pay for any outstanding usage/overage fees. Subscription plans which are on annual agreements may be terminated with 90 days’ written notice to Estated, provided that you will continue to pay the applicable monthly licensing fees until the date of such termination. You can upgrade or downgrade your plan at any time, and will only be billed for any outstanding usage up to the point you change the plan.

Estated only charges overage when a property record is returned via the API. Usage is calculated during a billing period and totalled at the start of the subsequent billing period. If the subscription plans includes a set number of API calls (that is API calls that returned a property record), then that is compared with the usage during the billing period. If there is any overage, it is added to the subsequent invoice.
